To You, From Mì

First meal courtesy of Banh Mi Place - first of many, I’m sure

Change is tough (emotionally). It's scary, uncertain, challenging, but also a much needed reprieve from a routine that has become at best, stagnant, and at worst, suffocating. So, why not take a deep dive and see what’s at the bottom? Well, usually sediment (best to decant that).

Still, pressure makes diamonds, as pressure makes pearls. Well, technically pearls are formed in response to irritants in mollusks…(you’re getting ahead of yourself).

Moving is tough (physically). It’s sweaty, sweaty, and did I mention sweaty? But after all of the packing up, furniture moving, and revisiting of childhood relics hidden deep within the dusty recesses of your closet, you’ll find yourself faced with something new (and a new, soon-to-be-dusty closet).

You’re in a new place, you’ve got good friends and good roommates (whom you will inevitably be dragging along on your future foodventures), and a whole city to explore.

The muscle soreness sets in tomorrow.

So take a breather for a second. Go for a walk around the corner. Buy a sandwich you’ve not had the chance to try before. Sit down on a cardboard box and eat over the coffee table. You’ll put together the dining one later.
